I read this and find it meaningful, how about you??!!
I ran into a stranger as he passed by,
I said "Oh excuse me please"
Stranger said "Please excuse me too; I wasn't watching for you"
We were very polite, the stranger and I.
Then we went on our way and said good bye...
Back at home.....
This is how we treat our loved ones, young and old.
I was coooking the evening meal,
My gal stood beside me very still.
When I turned, I nearly knocked her down.
I shouted "Move out of the way,"
She walked away, little heart broken..
I didn't realize how harsh I was.
Later in the night, while I lay awake in bed,
I heard voices...
"While dealing with a stranger, common courtesy you use, but the family you love,you seem to abuse"
and and
"go and look on the kitchen floor, you will find some flowers by the door. those are the folowers she brought for you... She picked them for you: pink, yellow and blue.."
"she stood very quietly not to spoil the surprise, you never saw the tears that filled her little eyes"
By this time, I felt very small, and now my tears began to fall.....................
I quietly went and knelt by her bed;
"Sweetie, wake up"
"did you pick those flowers for me"
Sweetie said "yeah, i knew you will like them, esp. the blue ones.."
I said "sorry for the way i acted today. I shouldn't have yelled at your that way"
Sweetie said "oh, mummy, its okay"
I said "sweetie, mummy love you and I do like the flowers, esp. the blue ones"
DO YOU KNOW THE MEANING OF family MEANS??!!
